I have a friend who decided to use the Psychatog strategy (using uplift, floating mana, and then pumping up his Psychatog to a 20/21) and kill everyone he and I knew. Well, it worked for a while let me tell you. I was ready to stop playing Magic, because I could never win against his supposedly perfect deck. I searched everywhere for great creatures, and burnt like $100 on really rare creatures. Well, as it turned out, he was still able to kill me. So I turned to good ol blue for help. With its thousands of counterspells, I was able to destroy him in one fell swoop! But then, I realized, that this deck was not only good against him, but everyone else as well! Additions were made, and over the course of two months I moulded the deck into what you see here. Use the many counterspells included to stall you opponent, especially Quash, for you can remove every single type of the card you countered from the game. Should your opponent manage to get powerful creatures out, steal them with gilded drake, and then return it to your hand with Capsize. The Blind Seer is deadly with Douse. Though it may cost 4 mana, you can use the Seer's Ability and change the colour of a spell to red, and then counter it with Douse. This provides unlimited counters, and since they are abilities, they can't be countered. Rainbow Efreet is your main offence, being able to phase out when the going gets rough (i.e. a Wrath of God), if you can't win with it, deck your opponent with Grindstone. Also, should you somehow run out of counterspells, simply shuffle your graveyard into your deck with Reminisce. By the way, try and keep Library of Leng out for as long as possible. It enhances the Buyback abilities of Forbid (nothing), and can put a black discard deck out of commission. submitted by Evan Kopiak 12/07/2002
